Using or taking laxatives to lose weight is another popular buzz among the overweight individuals nowadays. Although as appealing it may look but you'll have to be really careful when thinking about consuming laxatives because according to many medical experts there are certain dangers lies in the process. And when having diarrhea you loose more water and again if continued for a long time less water in your body can give birth to unhealthy kidneys, blood pressure problems, headaches, vomiting, skin and muscle problems are just a few to mention. 

So why it is believed to be a weight loss method?

This is because as mentioned above, what these products do is by losing stool and stimulating diarrhea it takes a big amounts of water out of the body. So as most of us know since most of our bodies consist of water (over 55% for grown adults - the more age less the amounts) and when you lose water in bigger amounts you feel like you've lost weight but in fact even though you want to lose weight what's more important is the way you lose it.

Or in other words you want to burn fat not by removing excessive amount of water from your body but by removing fat, sugar, cholesterol type energies. They both seems to do the same thing but when considered the health related problems losing water can be deadly and losing the "right" amounts of sugar, cholesterol, etc make you more healthier on the other hand by lowering blood pressure, more healthy metabolic stomach, etc.

But you can use natural meal replacement shakes for losing weight, whey protein, low carb shakes, for this purposes and always stay away from diet soda products. But even before using these methods you must go to see your doctor and get his advice first which is a must.
